The Trump administration placed taxes on EU steel and aluminum in 2018 claiming a threat to US national security, in a move that damaged European producers and American companies.
The United States said Thursday it will impose harsh tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from the European Union, Canada, Mexico, another move sure to anger Washington’s trading partners.
