‘Incredibles 2’ Crosses $500 Million Domestic, Sets Animation Box Office Record

Description

According to a report by SFGate, Disney and Pixar's 'Incredibles 2' has made box office history as the first animated film to make over 500 million dollars in North America. In its fourth weekend, 'Incredibles 2' is expected to make 31 million-dollars, making it the just the twelfth film to gross 500 million-dollars domestically. SFGate points out that the 14 year gap between the original film and the sequel contributed greatly to its record breaking performance at the box office, with millennials who saw the original as kids returning to see the sequel as adults. That nostalgia boosted already ample ticket sales from family audiences.
