Seoul, Jul 7 (EFE/EPA).- South Korean protesters on Tuesday rallied in Seoul against a visit by the US Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun. Biegun is scheduled to arrive in Seoul on Tuesday for discussions on the stalled nuclear talks and current tension with North Korea.Protesters were demanding the dissolution of the US and South Korea working group. During his three-day visit, Biegun is scheduled to meet South Korea’s chief nuclear negotiator Lee do-hoon and Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha to discuss the situation in the region after Pyongyang recently cut all communication with Seoul and blew up the inter-Korean liaison office on its territory.Biegun may also meet with the newly appointed national security advisor and former head of South Korea's main intelligence service, Suh Hoon. Paju, Jun 23 (EFE/EPA).- - South Korea on Tuesday conducted military drills near the demilitarized zone (DMZ) in Paju amid rising tension with Pyoungyang over the launching of balloons carrying leaflets with anti-North Korea meassages across the border by a group of North Korean defectors and activists in the South.According to North Korean defector and activist Park Sang-hak said that he, along with six other activists, have launched thousands of leaflets by balloon across the border with North Korea overnight.
