According to CNN, First Lady Melania Trump landed in Arizona about two-hours from the US-Mexico Border. The trip is her second within a week to learn about the Trump administration's policy for separating and detaining immigrant families along the border. East Wing communications director Stephanie Grisham added that the First Lady planned the trip to learn more and educate herself about what's going on along the border.
Reuters reported that First Lady Melania Trump, visited children displaced by the country’s immigration crisis in Texas Thursday. The visit comes just a day after Trump reversed course and ordered families to be kept intact when entering the United States illegally from Mexico. According to her spokesperson, Melania Trump decided to visit detention centers housing children because she deeply cares about the controversial issue. However the First Lady wore a jacket for Thursday’s trip conveyed a different message. The message on the back of her jacket in large white brush strokes read “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?”
One day after her husband signed an executive order to roll back his draconian policy of separating migrant children from their families, Melania Trump boarded a plane to visit the New Hope Children’s Shelter in Texas. She asked officials how she could help the shelter’s children reach their parents on the phone, and what she could do to help reunite families. Refinery 29 reports that the First Lady of The United Staes told the detained children “Be kind and nice to other, okay?” and "Good Luck". If her message seemed tone deaf, her jacket spoke volumes. The $39 green cotton Zara jacket was emblazoned with the words “I REALLY DON’T CARE, DO U?”

Trump's visit to McAllen, Texas came amid the firestorm over President Donald Trump's family-separation policy. The policy saw children taken from their parents. "It's a jacket," her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said in a statement to Business Insider.

The First lady arranged the unannounced trip to get a first-hand look at immigrant families being separated along the border. While addressing the New Hope Children’s Shelter in Texas, First lady Trump thanked the staff for their hard work, compassion, and kindness.
