Increasing Number Of Democrats Call To Abolish ICE

Description

An increasing number of high-ranking Democrats, some potential 2020 presidential candidates, are calling for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be dismantled. New York senator Kirsten Gillibrand has gone the farthest, saying this week that ICE "has become a deportation force" and should be replaced with "something that actually works." The stance embraces a viewpoint that until recently had been isolated to far-left party activists.
