Dee Snider Shares Touching Sentiment About Lemmy Kilmister

Fans of the hard rock group Motorhead are still mourning the loss of bassist and vocalist Lemmy Kilmister, who died earlier this year after battling cancer. Dee Snider, of Twisted Sister fame, recently gave an interview with Rolling Stone about his band's upcoming documentary and shared a heartwarming memory of Kilmister's memorial: "My wife, who is not religious, but is spiritual, she turns to me and goes, 'I think Lemmy was an angel!' I said, 'Really? They're going to send down a whiskey-drinking, cigarette-smoking, speed-snorting pirate as an angel?' And she said to me, 'Who else would you guys listen to? Some guy in a flowing robe with wings? Lemmy Kilmister — that's the angel you guys are gonna listen to!'"

We won't be doing any more tours or anything. And there won't be any more records. But the brand survives, and Lemmy lives on in the hearts of everyone." Dee, who replaced Phil Taylor as Motörhead's drummer in 1992, also revealed that Kilmister appeared to be struggling health-wise on their recent European tour, yet the singer soldiered on.
