Navigate Google Maps With The Legend Of Zelda

Description

Pegman, the unofficial mascot of Google Maps, is getting a much-deserved vacation today. In his place is an iconic video game character who knows a bit about maps himself. Link is now in Google Maps to help you find your way, because as we all know, it’s dangerous to go alone. If you head to Google Maps on the web, you’ll see that the Pegman icon in the lower right corner has been replaced with everyone’s sword-wielding elf in his standard green tunic. Just like with Pegman, you can click and drag Link around the map to browse street view images. You can hover over an area to get thumbnail preview, then drop Link to go down to street level. There’s nothing different about the way Maps works today, save for the little Link in place of Pegman.

There was a time when the Amazon Echo was the only smart speaker on the block, but times are changing as Google Home and Apple's Homepod give Amazon Echo a good bit of healthy competition. As far as price points go Amazon may still be winning in the minds of frugal consumers. Apples Homepod which will be available later this year comes with a price tag of $349 a pop which Apple says is justified based on the extra bells and whistles that will make this speaker stand out above the rest. Features of all the Smart Speaker options include, streaming music directly from your phone or tablet, and popular online music services as well as having a smart assistant built-in to the products.
