The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to launch on August 23rd. It's always exciting to see what the likes of Samsung, Apple and Sony will come up with next to entice tech fans in to buying their latest and greatest flagship smartphones. But if you want to save a little money, now is also a great time to get deals on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S7 Edge. No one knows for sure how much the Note 8 will cost - but it's sure to come at a steep price.
With the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge this week, it took only a couple of days for the world to get a look at how much damage the new smartphones can take beyond scratching. SquareTrade, a smartphone insurance company, took the brand-new Galaxy S7 phones and tested their water resistance and durability against falling, tumbling and bending. The S7 phones fared much better underwater than the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus and SquareTrade says they're the most water-resistant phone it has tested. As far as the S7’s glass front and back are concerned, the corners and back reportedly break easily. After a run inside a device known as the TumbleBot, the S7 and S7 Edge had significant damage on the back and corners, with minor scratches on the screen.
The latest flagship Samsung phones are all the rage right now. The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge were built with a combination of power, comfort, and quality. The S7 Edge is lighter and more sleek than it's sibling, but still packs a punch. The smartphones have increased camera capabilities that can shoot 4k and hyperlapse video. The new autofocus systems are also innovative technology. They make use of 12 million pixels which not only collective immense light but drive the camera’s phase-detection. The next generation of Samsung smartphones certainly pass the test
Samsung's next flagship Android smartphone will reportedly arrive in a few months. Ukrainian tech blogger Ivan Luchkov confirmed that timing and claims Samsung may hold an Unpacked event on Feb. 20 in Barcelona, days before Mobile World Congress. A 5.2-inch Galaxy S7 and a 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge are reportedly in the cards. The report claims Samsung is planning to produce 3.3 million of the smaller S7 and 1.6 million of the larger curved model. Though we will not know for sure until Samsung makes it official on stage, the latest rumors suggest the S7 will sport a similar design to the current S6.
