House Speaker Paul Ryan Says There Is No Reason To Dispute Death Toll In Puerto Rico

Description

Puerto Rico’s official death toll has climbed to 3,000, the island still damaged from Hurricane Maria. President Donald Trump accused Democrats of making the number higher to make him look bad. Yet U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan said he had “no reason” to dispute the death toll.” According to Reuters, Ryan said that “casualties don’t make a person look bad.” Instead Ryan acknowledged the damages Puerto Rico face and said the aftermath was “devastating.”
