Cary Joji Fukunaga To Direct James Bond 25

It looks like the director’s chair for the 25th James Bond installment has been filled (again). Digital Trends reports that "True Detective" director Cary Joji Fukunaga will helm James Bond 25 Fukunaga joins the project following the departure of Danny Boyle. Boyle was set to direct and co-write with "Trainspotting" collaborator John Hodge. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced Fukunaga’s attachment. They indicated production on the still-untitled film will begin March 4, 2019. “We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.” Daniel Craig will reprise the iconic role in what might be his final appearance in the franchise.
