American Pastor Released By Turkish Court

According to Reuters, an American evangelical Christian pastor has been released from his prison sentence in Turkey. Andrew Brunson was released from custody by a Turkish court after serving two years of a three year sentence. Back in July, the pastor was granted house arrest, and was released from jail. Pastor Brunson was charged with terrorism for his alleged involvement in a military coups two years ago, but Brunson has lived in Turkey for more than 20 years. After leaving the courthouse, Brunson returned to his home in Turkey's western Izmir province.
