'High School Musical' TV Series Casts Joshua Bassett

Disney's upcoming live-action High School Musical television series has just found its first star. ComicBook.com reports that Joshua Bassett has been cast as Ricky in the upcoming series. The series follows a group of students who stage a performance of High School Musical. Each episode will include a new version of a song from High School Musical as well as an original song. The series will premiere on Disney's streaming service in 2019.
