Could "Halloween" Slash Its Way To $100M Globally?

Comicbook.com reports that "Halloween" could be eyeing a $100 million launch. Blumhouse and Universal hope Michael Myers will slash the global box office this weekend. According to Deadline, the numbers suggest the reboot/sequel could outperform expectations. Forecasts show it earning north of $100 million globally in its first 3 days in theaters. That accounts for $30 million internationally and $70 million in North America. This suggests the franchise has a wide reach, far beyond the typical R-rated horror demographic. Directed by David Gordon Green and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Halloween hits theaters Friday.
