Tesla Shares Climb After Elon Musk Announces Model 3 Price

According to Market Insider, Elon Musk announced on Twitter on Thursday that a lower-cost Model 3 was immediately available for order on the company's website. The electric car company's shares climbed almost 2% following the anouncement. Musk tweeted "Just released lower cost, mid-range Tesla Model 3 & super simple new order page".

Tesla needs to produce 170,000 vehicles in the fourth quarter — a 17% increase over Q3 — to reach that mark.
