CVS, Aetna Win U.S. Approval For $69 Billion Deal

According to Reuters, Pharmacy chain CVS Health, won a U.S. antitrust approval for its $69 billion acquisition of health insurer Aetna, paving the way for a potential to cut U.S. healthcare costs for consumers. The companies have said they will save administrative and patient care costs when they combine. CVS could offer more preventive care services and screenings in its clinics, avoiding higher cost visits to doctors or emergency rooms.
