Lebanese Foreign Ministry Says It Stands By Carlos Ghosn Amid Scandal

Description

According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Lebanon's foreign ministry said that it would stand by Nissan and Renault boss Carlos Ghosn one day after his arrest in Japan on allegations of financial misconduct. Ghosn, who is of Lebanese descent and holds Lebanese citizenship, was arrested after Nissan Motor Co claimed that he had engaged in wrongdoing, including personal use of company money in addition to under-reporting how much he was earning for years. Reuters reports that the Japanese carmaker plans to remove Ghosn as chairman later this week.
