NASA's InSight Lander Touches Down On Mars

Description

According to Gizmodo, NASA's latest Mars mission has touched down on the Martian surface. The InSight took six months to reach the Red Planet before initiating it's landing sequence. But the InSight will conduct a different mission for NASA, when compared to the Mars rovers. Instead of cruising around the Martian surface, the InSight lander is a stationary scientific platform with three instruments designed to study the planet's interior.
