According to Business Insider, Walmart is gearing up for a massive Cyber Monday. Earlier this year Walmart introduced Walmart+. Walmart will introduce new discounts every week leading up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday. November 4 to 7: Discounts will focus on toys, electronics, and home products. November 11 to 14: Discounts will primarily be for TVs, smartphones, and tablets. November 25 at 7 p.m. EST online and in-store on Black Friday, November 27 at 5 a.m: Black Friday sales on all merchandise.
Black Friday sales kicked off early at 6 PM local time on Thursday at a Walmart superstore in Dallas, to the delight of hundreds of shoppers looking to bag themselves a bargain. With prices slashed up to 70 percent, many shoppers rushed to get their hands on a new flat screen TV and other electronics, Black Friday is a tradition which originated in the US and has been replicated overseas. The day, which takes place after the Thanksgiving holiday, is usually the busiest shopping day of the year in the US, with large crowds common. Violence, some of which has resulted in fatalities, has occurred in the past as a result of crowds clamouring to buy items at steep discounts. Black Friday sales in 2015 neared $15 billion in the US, and $3 billion of those sales came from the internet.

Black Friday begins November 27. Mega-retailer Macy's starts rolling out its deals ahead of time, on November 24. Some deals begin the week before Thanksgiving, on November 16. Business Insider reports that shoppers can use a code BLKFRI to get an extra 20% off some items. Macy's hopes its deals on clothing, jewelry, cosmetics, kitchenware, and home goods will boost it's business, which has been ravaged by COVID-19.
