Cutting Carbs Is A Popular Resolution, But There Are Some You Should Never Leave Out

Description

Low-carb diets are a popular resolution for 2019 with the keto diet being one of the more extreme forms of this approach. But according to Business Insider, there are several studies suggesting that people who eat a moderate amount of carbohydrates live longer than people on low-carb or high-carb diets. A lot of people replace carbs with more animal protein, but this can lead to kidney trouble and increase inflammation levels. Our body prefers carbohydrates for energy so they're essential to our diets. What matters is the type of carbs you're choosing to consume. Some dietitian-approved carbs include whole grains, lentils and beans, sweet potatoes, and squash.
