Netflix Projects Win 5 Golden Globes


According to Business Insider, Netflix won 5 Golden Globes for their TV shows and movies. The streaming company is beginning to position itself as an emerging contender for film and TV, but it came in behind its rivals HBO and Amazon for nominations. But Netflix had two projects that managed to score a pair of Golden Globes each. The foreign language film Roma won the globes for best director, which went to Alfonso Cuarón, while winning the best film it its category. The comedy series 'The Kominsky Method' won the globe for best in its category, while lead actor Michael Douglas won the globe for best actor in a comedy. But Netflix also won the Golden Globe for best actor in a drama, which went to Richard Madden for his role in 'Bodyguard.'
