Turkey Calls For Extradition Of 18 Saudis In Connection With Khashoggi Case

Description

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, Turkish prosecutors have prepared an extradition request for 18 suspects from Saudi Arabia in the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, after President Tayyip Erdogan urged Riyadh to disclose who ordered the murder. In recent days, Erdogan has reportedly increased pressure on Saudi Arabia, pitching the world's top oil exporter into a deepening crisis. Reuters reports that Erdogan claims to have more information regarding the murder of Khashoggi, but declined, once again, to specify what that information might be. Saudi Arabia has reportedly already sacked five senior government officials as part of its ongoing investigation.
