To offer its customers the best possible user experience, Volvo Cars is bringing photorealistic visualisation technology into its next generation of electric cars through a new collaboration with Epic Games. The companies are teaming up to bring Epic’s Unreal Engine game engine into upcoming Volvo cars, providing unparalleled high-quality graphics inside the cabin. Epic Games is a leading interactive entertainment and software company probably best known for Fortnite, one of the world’s largest games. Epic Games also develops Unreal Engine, widely considered to be the most advanced real-time 3D creation tool used in various industries beyond games, and which will now be used by Volvo Cars for developing digital interfaces inside its cars and rendering real-time graphics in the car.
In cooperation with Vodafone, Porsche has entered the 5G era at its Weissach Development Centre. Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO of Vodafone Germany, and Michael Steiner, member of the Porsche AG Executive Board for Research and Development, switched on the 5G standalone network today. Real-time mobile communications will now be available with immediate effect for vehicle development at the site. The new technology will ensure the secure and instantaneous transmission of data between car, human and machine. At the same time, it will improve the framework conditions for the strategic development of new vehicle systems and functions at Weissach, allowing 5G to be integrated in the cars of tomorrow, to meet the requirements of the future.
Beijing, Sep 16 (EFE/EPA).- The real estate subsidiary of Chinese group Evergrande announced Wednesday it would pay interest due on its Shenzhen-traded 5.8 percent bond from September 2025 on time.In a Shenzhen exchange filing, Hengda Real Estate Group Co. Ltd., Evergrande's subsidiary, said it would make a coupon payment on the bond Thursday.This would mean the timely payment of its obligations in China although it remains to be seen whether Evergrande will pay the interest for its offshore dollar bonds. Hilaria Baldwin is in the middle of a swirling and escalating controversy surrounding her heritage. It started when social media users pointed out that her Latin accent is not consistent. Clips of her husband, Alec Baldwin, saying during TV show appearances that his wife was from Spain began making the rounds on Twitter. Alec has taken to social media to defend his wife, "Twitter is just a vast orchard of crap." She says "unauthorized" biographies claimed she was from Spain. Hilaria is insistent that she has not misrepresented herself and all the confusion is because other people made assumptions about her. CNN reports that the damage to her career and reputation has been significant.
