Since its launch in 2017, the second generation of the Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV has become the best-selling Volkswagen in America, mirroring its global success. For the 2022 model year, Volkswagen of America will launch a refreshed model with new styling and technology to elevate its compelling blend of utility and performance.On the outside, the Tiguan keeps its iconic look, but sharpens it with a completely revised front end. A distinctive bumper and broad grille are complemented by standard LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs), and can be accented further by an available illuminated light line flanking the VW logo. The top two trims feature updated, sporty R-Line design elements, including bumpers and side sills. The distinctive side profile of the Tiguan remains with its strong character line carrying from the front fender through to the standard LED taillights. Newly centered Tiguan lettering on the rear matches Volkswagen family styling from the Arteon to the all-new Taos. The 2022 Tiguan will be available in eight exterior colors—including new Oryx White and Kings Red Metallic—and every trim level receives new wheels, ranging from 17-inch to 20-inch aluminum-alloy designs.
One model series, two versions! Volkswagen has presented the new Arteon in a world premiere and is unveiling a second version - the new Arteon Shooting Brake - at the same time. This model is a completely new interpretation of the estate concept. "Volkswagen will launch 34 new models this year. The 2020 Passat is powered by Volkswagen's 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injection EA888 engine, which produces 174 horsepower and 206 lb-ft of torque (22 lb-ft more than the previous Passat). The power is taken to the front wheels via a standard 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic shifting, with steering-wheel mounted shift paddles on R-Line models.The TSI engine features innovative solutions such as water-cooled exhaust gas routing through the cylinder head to the turbocharger (to efficiently reduce full-load fuel consumption) and a dual injection system with direct and multi-port injection. Thanks to its fully electronic coolant control system, the four-cylinder engine also offers highly efficient thermal management with a short warm-up phase; this reduces friction and decreases fuel consumption.EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2020 Passat is 23 mpg in city driving, 34 mpg on the highway, and 27 mpg combined.

The SEL trim starts at $39,995, adding features such as Volkswagen Digital Cockpit, Nappa leather seating surfaces, and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go. The top-of-the-line SEL Premium starts at $44,945, and brings upscale luxury with ventilated front seats, a massaging driver's seat, a heated steering wheel, and a suite of driver-assistance systems including Park Assist and Overhead View Camera (Area View). R-Line trims add either 19-inch wheels ($1,265) or 20-inch wheels ($1,765) and paddle shifters, along with unique design elements inside and out. 4Motion all-wheel-drive adds $1,800 to SE and SEL models and comes standard on SEL Premium models. Destination for all Arteon models is $995.
The new technological developments realised with the MQB evo improve the Tiguan in practically every area. New hybrid drives with an all-electric range of around 100 km make this SUV more efficient than ever before. In addition, AC charging will be faster in all eHybrid versions, and fast DC charging will also be possible as standard for the first time. A cleanly designed Digital Cockpit based on the MIB4, the fourth-generation modular infotainment matrix, offers the highest level of information and brings digital services and apps on board. The operating concept is designed to be consistently self-explanatory. In addition, new systems such as a pneumatic massage function for the front seats or the IQ.LIGHT HD matrix headlights – used for the first time in the Tiguan – are derived from the premium Touareg model. The new adaptive chassis control DCC Pro optimises comfort and dynamics. The latest Park Assist generation automates driving in and out of parking spaces.
