Ghosn Denied Bail

Description

Business Insider reports a Tokyo District Court says it has turned down a request by Nissan's former chairman Carlos Ghosn's for release on bail. The move will prolong Ghosn's detention indefinitely. Ghosn was arrested on Nov. 19. He has been charged with falsifying financial reports in underreporting his income. He is also charged with breach of trust in having Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. shoulder investment losses. Ghosn also got Nissan to make payments to a Saudi businessman.
