Starbucks Now Delivers Coffee Via Uber Eats

If you are craving Starbucks, but can't get away from the office, it can now come to you. Business Insider reports that the coffee chain has teamed up with Uber Eats to deliver coffee, snacks, and other items to people in six major US cities. On Tuesday the delivery option will be available in San Francisco. It launches in New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC in a few weeks.

  • Starbucks To Expand To 55K Stores By 2030

    According to Business Insider, Starbucks announced plans to step up its global presence in the marketplace. They plan to expand from 33,000 to 55,000 stores globally by 2030. Over half of its new stores will be cafes, 40% will be drive-thrus and 5% will be pickup formats. A large part of Starbucks' efforts will be focused in China, where they are building 600 new locations, in 2021. They are also enhancing their digital footprint online and in-stores. This includes the mobile order-ahead options and making in-store contactless payments. They will continue to emphasize on-the-go experiences that they've added since the pandemic, like curbside pickup, drive-thru, and mobile order-ahead, which increased at the start of COVID.

  • Starbucks Is Giving Frontline Workers Free Coffee

    Starbucks is giving the gift of free coffee this holiday season. The coffee retailer is offering a free tall coffee (hot or iced) to frontline workers during the month of December. According to Business Insider, this is the second time the chain has offered up free drinks this year. Frontline workers eligible for the offer include "hospital staff including janitors and housekeepers. Pharmacists, firefighters, and dental professionals will also be able to cash in on the deal. Along with the free coffees, Starbucks is giving $100,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
