President Donald Trump gave an interview to Fox Business on Sunday. In the interview he continued to make the claims of voter fraud in the 2020 Election. This is the latest instance of his refusal to accept his loss in the 2020 presidential election. Trump said he had asked his lawyers to file "one nice, big, beautiful lawsuit" encompassing his claims of voter fraud. He said his legal team told him he didn't have the standing to do so. Instead, the Trump campaign has filed a number of legal challenges in states across the country. According to Business Insider the lawsuits didn't net the president any sort of victory capable of overturning the election results.
President Donald Trump's campaign spent $3 million on a recount that has already backfired spectacularly. According to Business Insider, the outcome of the general election's recount in one Wisconsin county was that Trump actually lost votes--not gained them. Milwaukee County announced Friday that President-elect Joe Biden made a total net gain of 132 votes out of nearly 460,000 votes cast. The Trump administration spent $3 million to request two recounts in Milwaukee and Dane counties. Both have large numbers of Democrat voters. Dane County is expected to announce its recount results on Sunday.
According to Business Insider, just days after the election results were made official, President elect Joe Biden shared his plans to address US healthcare. It includes: 1. Organizing a COVID-19 task force to help manage the new surge in cases, helping at-risk communities, and federalizing coronavirus response efforts. 2. Keeping the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in tact. 2.3 million people lost healthcare access due to ACA changes under the current Trump administrationn. 3. Increasing digital telehealth access, and expanding it to rural communities with limited resources. Although Democratic Biden won the presidential election, he may still face an uphill battle when it comes to his policies. The Republican party currently controls of the Senate, which may change after two January runoff races.
In the third such announcement since Friday, Sen. Ron Johnson on Saturday announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. According to Business Insider, Sen. Johnson is the third Republican senator to announce a positive result for the disease. Johnson's office said the senator returned to Washington, DC, on September 29 and was exposed to COVID-19 'shortly' afterward. Aged 65, the Wisconsin senator is currently symptom-free and is in isolation. He joins two fellow GOP Sens. Mike Lee (R-Ut.) and Thom Tillis (R-NC), who are both members on the Senate Judiciary Committee — and COVID-19 positive.
Donald Trump doesn't like Hillary Clinton's attack on his temperament and he retorts that she has the temperament of a loser. Trump says he has the best temperament and that his temperament is going to win the election. Any thoughts?
