Facebook Removes Fake Pages Run By Russian News Agency

Description

According to Business Insider Facebook removed more than 500 pages, accounts, and ads across its core service and Instagram that were connected to Russia and involved in "inauthentic" behaviour. It uncovered two campaigns, one focused on Ukraine, and the other more widely across Eastern Europe. The social network found employees of Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik had created pages purporting to be independent news sites and general interest pages about the weather or politics.

  • As Doors Slam All Around Him, Trump Spends Election Run-Up Ranting On Fox News

US President Donald Trump appears to be running out of lifelines to save himself politically. So the president has taken to dialing Fox hosts from the White House and ripping his senior-most Cabinet members for not delivering before election day. It's an unfamiliar experience for a man used to getting what he wants. He is in a completely different universe right now where nobody is left, really, to help him out of the jams he keeps getting himself into.
