Netflix Cancels Final Two Marvel TV Series

Netflix and Marvel have officially ended their partnership. SFGate reports Netflix has given the ax to its remaining two series from Marvel, “The Punisher” and “Jessica Jones." The third season of the Krysten Ritter-led drama will air later this year. “The Punisher” premiered its second season in January on the streamer. Netflix said in a statement, "We are grateful to Marvel for five years of our fruitful partnership and thank the passionate fans who have followed these series from the beginning.” Last year, Netflix canceled three of its Marvel TV series — “Daredevil,” “Iron Fist” and “Luke Cage."

Netflix's TV Series "Away" Will Not Return For Season 2

Elle magazine is reporting that Netflix has cancelled the Hillary Swank space drama "Away." In the series, Swank plays the conflicted Commander Emma Green. She leads the first-ever human mission to Mars, leaving behind her family. "Away" is not the only show Netflix cancelled recently. It also axed "GLOW" and "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina." The show was expensive and intricate to produce, as space sequences took days to plot and choreograph.
