California Cougar Climbs Tree In Hesperia Backyard

According to Business Insider, firefighters in California were called to remove a mountain line from a tree. The big cat was perched on a 50-foot high branch over the backyard garden in a home in Hesperia. The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded, but the California Department of Fish & Wildlife came to tranquilize the mountain lion before getting it out of the three. Wildlife experts evaluated the cat afterwards, before releasing it back into the wild. Fish & Wildlife Warden Rick Fischer said mountain lion attacks in the county are rare, but leaving it in the tree would have been dangerous to the community.
