Berlin Film Festival Opens With A Number Of Weighty Social & Political Themes

Description

According to a report by Reuters, this year's Berlin Film Festival will be tackling a number of weighty social and political themes beginning when the festival opens on Thursday evening. Highlights include Danish director Lone Scherfig's 'The Kindness of Strangers,' Brazilian director Wagner Moura's 'Marighella,' and Polish director Agnieszka Holland’s “Mr. Jones." Reuters reports that other highly-anticipated films include German director Fatih Akin’s “The Golden Glove”, the psychologically grueling true story of a serial killer who preyed on women in Hamburg’s port district in the 1970s.
