U.S. Army Could Trim Troops In Afghanistan By Over 1,000

The U.S. military is expected to trim troop levels in Afghanistan as part of an efficiency drive, says Reuters. A U.S. general said that the cuts may exceed 1,000 forces. President Donald Trump told Congress this month that he intended to reduce U.S. forces in Afghanistan. He said: “Great nations do not fight endless wars.” Currently, there are nearly 14,000 American forces in Afghanistan.
