Wailuku River Floods Due To Rains From Hurricane Lane

According to Business Insider, Hurricane Lane is losing steam as it heads towards the Hawaiian islands. Once a category 4 storm, Hurricane Lane is losing energy, but the storm is still dropping torrential rains across the Big Island. The National Weather Service does not expect the eye of the storm to pass over land, but heavy rains and high-speed winds still present life-threatening concerns. Some parts of Hawaii's Big Island were drenched with over 2 feet of rain, causing flash flooding and landslides. The weather service added that 19 inches of rain fell over the last 24-hours, causing the Wailuku River to flood.
