Paris Jackson Removes Harper's Bazaar Singapore Cover From Instagram

Description

According to Allure, Paris Jackson apologized after posting her cover of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore on Instagram. Paris, who identifies as bisexual and a member of the LGBTQ community, says that she had no idea about Singapore's anti-gay laws. Writer Jamie Tabberer called out Jackson in an editorial titled, "Paris Jackson's Harper’s Bazaar Singapore Cover is Hypocritical." He questions why Paris would be on the magazine's cover, in "a country where sex between two men is illegal and punishable by up to two years in prison." If she did it to prove a point, Tabberer says that she should have said that in her Instagram post. He adds, "What matters the most is the missed opportunity of that Instagram post; of the sorely lacking caption." Paris responded by taking down the post, explaining "I don’t want to be hypocritical or hurt anyone, and my support for my fellow LGBTQ+ community comes first before my love for fashion and gratitude for this opportunity. again, i’m sorry."
