Nissan Charged In EX-CEO Scam

Description

On Monday, Tokyo prosecutors charged Nissan's former chairman Carlos Ghosn with fraud. The prosecutors also charged another executive, Greg Kelly, and the automaker itself for allegedly underreporting income. As Per the AP, the charges imposed Monday involve allegations Ghosn's pay was underreported by about $44 million between 2011 and 2015. Prosecutors said earlier that the allegations were the reason for Ghosn's arrest on Nov. 19. Nissan Motor Co. confirmed the charges against it in a statement. Nissan says making false disclosures greatly harms the company's integrity.
