'Vice' has emerged the film to beat at the 2019 Golden Globes. The Dick Cheney biographical film scored six nominations when they were read out on Thursday morning, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Screenplay and Best Director for Adam McKay and acting nominations for Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Sam Rockwell.

  • Golden Globes Will Award New Statuette In 2019

    According to SF gate, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has unveiled a new Golden Globe Award statuette. The newly designed trophy will be handed out at the 2019 ceremony in January. The original statuette was designed in 1954 and stood just over 10 inches in height, with a weight of 5.5 lbs. The new trophy is 11.5 inches tall, weighing in at a hefty 7.8 lbs. and is made of brass, zinc and bronze. Nominations for the Golden Globes are announced on Dec. 6. And this year’s ceremony will air live on NBC on Sunday, January 6, 2019, at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST.
