On the morning of January 20, 2021, Donald Trump and Melania Trump will depart the White House as President and first lady. According to tradition and proper White House etiquette, the outgoing First Couple observes a number of protocols in the peaceful transition of power. But the Trumps have no intention of doing so. Rather than offering the hand of friendship, they will be raising their well-manicured middle fingers. CNN reports the Trumps have refused to invite the Bidens inside the White House before departing. Nor will they welcome the Bidens on the steps of the North Portico, much less ride with them to the United States Capitol. After all, the outgoing President and his family have refused to attend President-elect Biden's inauguration ceremony entirely.
Joe Camp worked as a preschool teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina, for twenty years. But when the COVID-19 pandemic hit hard, he was laid off in September. Then, he lost his father a month later. Camp, who is a father and grandfather, admits the two harsh blows put him 'in a dark place.' However, he says his friends and family encouraged him to have faith and keep believing in himself. They were right. CNN reports Camp has just won $250,000 from a scratch-off ticket in the North Carolina state lottery!
President Donald Trump has still refused to concede to President-elect Joe Biden. Trump is reportedly planning a rally on Biden's inauguration day. Biden has said that Trump should go to his inauguration to demonstrate a peaceful transfer of power. He then added that Trump's presence was "of no personal consequence to me." They are far from the first American presidents and presidents-to-be not to see eye to eye. However, many Americans are curious to see how inauguration day will look with the drama involved.
