    The recent marketing blitz for the new Star Wars film seems to be doing its job. According to the first released projections. "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is now tracking for a huge opening weekend of over 130 million dollars in the US. The three-week projections are early, but they usually give a solid impression of the neighborhood a film should hit in its first weekend. The new movie will be the first stand-alone Star Wars Anthology film. It stars Felicity Jones and Forest Whitaker.

  • Ford To Invest $900 Million At Second North American Plant

    Reuters reports that Ford Motor Co unveiled plans for producing a fully electric vehicle. The auto manufacturer made the announcement on Wednesday, saying the electric model will be made at a second North American plant as part of its $11 billion investment plan set last year. The U.S. automaker said it will be investing $900 million in southeast Michigan and creating 900 jobs through 2023 as part of its electric vehicle push.

    According to MNN.com, "According to forecast models, much of the contiguous U.S. is about to be hit with an unusual late winter burst of Arctic cold. Perhaps even more alarming is that we're all getting used to such extremes, a new study warns." Lead author of the study, Frances C. Moore, an assistant professor in the UC Davis Department of Environmental Science and Policy, told the press, "There's a risk that we'll quickly normalize conditions we don't want to normalize. We are experiencing conditions that are historically extreme, but they might not feel particularly unusual if we tend to forget what happened more than about five years ago..."
