Pentagon Received Request To Extend Deployment Of Troops At Mexico Border

Description

According to a report by Reuters, on Friday, US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the Pentagon has received a request from the Trump administration to extend the deployment of troops at the Mexico border. Earlier this week, US Defense Secretary Jim Mattis suggested that such an order would be developed in response to the US Department of Homeland Security looking for military support to stem illegal immigration.
