    Democrats in the House of Representatives on Friday proposed reinstating millions of dollars in aid to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras that was previously cut off by the Trump administration.     According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled that a 40 foot-tall cross-shaped war memorial standing on public land in Maryland does not constitute government endorsement of religion, a decision which leaves unanswered questions regarding the boundaries of the US Constitution's separation of church and state. By a 7 to 2 vote, the justices overturned a lower court's ruling that had declared the Peace Cross in Bladensburg to be unconstitutional in a legal challenge mounted by the American Humanist Association. Reuters reports that the concrete cross was erected in 1925 as a memorial to troops who died in World War One.
