Canada, U.S. Make Progress In Bid to Save NAFTA, No Deal Yet

Description

According to Reuters, Canada and the United States narrowed their differences in final attempt talks to save NAFTA but there is no guarantee an agreement will be forged. The two nations are trying to find a way to update the North American Free Trade Agreement and prevent it from falling apart. Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland postponed her country’s annual address to the U.N. General Assembly on Saturday to focus on ongoing trade talks with the United States.
