"More space, more power, more goosebumps - the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé combines extraordinary sports car technology with high everyday usability and impressive amounts of space. With this model, Mercedes-AMG is opening up the sports car segment to customers who wish to share the experience of the best driving dynamics with their family and friends. Top-level longitudinal and lateral dynamics, and a striking silhouette with classic sports car proportions put the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé in the same portfolio as its two-door sibling at the very first glance. The expressive design with the front end drawn low down below the stretched bonnet, not to mention its muscular body, low greenhouse and powerful fastback highlights the sporty genes of the four-door Coupé. The new 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder petrol engine and the proven AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine cover a performance spectrum ranging from 270 kW (367 hp) to 470 kW (639 hp). They deliver incredible driving performance despite offering contemporary levels of efficiency. AMG-specific technologies such as the fully-variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system and the rapid-shifting AMG SPEEDSHIFT 9G transmission with torque converter (TCT = Torque-Clutch Transmission) on six-cylinder models and a wet start-off clutch (MCT = Multi-Clutch Transmission) on eight-cylinder models serve to increase performance levels. As with the two-door AMG GT, the active aerodynamics with AIRPANEL active air control system in the front apron and extendible rear spoiler form the basis for high aerodynamic performance."
The second generation of the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé is the new top model in the Mercedes-AMG range. It combines highly dynamic driving characteristics with increased suitability for everyday use. High-tech components such as the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active roll stabilisation, standard rear-axle steering and active aerodynamics sharpen the active driving profile. The sporty coupé is also taking its output to the road for the first time with the fully variable all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC+. Combined with the AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, this results in a driving experience of the highest level. The exclusive AMG sports car architecture with an elaborate composite aluminium body structure allows the car to be configured as a 2+2 seater. For a sports car in this class, this means a very generous interior for passengers and plenty of space for their luggage. As the fifth independent model series after SLS, the first generation of the two-door GT, GT 4-door Coupé and SL, the new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé once again demonstrates the high technological expertise of the Affalterbach development team.The vehicle will be available as an AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé with 430 kW (585 PS) of output in October 2023 and as an AMG GT 55 4MATIC+ Coupé with 350 kW (476 PS) of output in July 2024.
The new look of the Mercedes-AMG E63 4MATIC+ models, which catches the eye at first glance, is also down to technical reasons to a large extent. In order to ensure optimum air throughput around the 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine including charge air cooling, the outer air intakes in the jet-wing are not only particularly large; they also guide the air to where it is required in a targeted manner with the aid of two transverse louvres. Designers and aerodynamics experts worked closely together during development. Their insights not only resulted in the striking AMG bodystyling but also in the optimised aerobalance - for agile handling characteristics on country roads and optimum driving stability at high speed on the motorway. The aerodynamics experts were also able to reduce the wind resistance even further.A further striking visual feature is a harmoniously fitting flap in high-gloss black which extends across the entire front apron, continues into the outer edge of the jet-wing and rounds this off outwards to the sides. The front splitter is either kept in the colour of the vehicle (base model), in Silver Shadow (S-Model), in high-gloss black (with optional AMG Night Package) or in carbon fibre (with the optional AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre Package I). More powerful-looking and 27 millimetres wider, the wheel arches accommodate the greater track width and the larger wheels on the front axle - also a functional advantage.
"As a member of the AMG GT family, the new AMG GT 4-Door Coupé follows the design philosophy of Sensual Purity. It picks up on the striking proportions, the convex surfaces and the muscular body of the two-door variant and further develops these into the characteristic shape of the four-door version. The flowing silhouette with low greenhouse and dynamic fastback underscores the sporty focus. The front end is markedly dynamic with its broad, low-drawn ""shark nose"", filigree MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with carbon-fibre elements, AMG-specific radiator trim and front apron featuring further-developed jet wing (with flowing A wing in the case of six-cylinder models). The heavily contoured powerdomes on the long bonnet allude to the powerful unit housed underneath it, while the broad wings make the dynamic potential of the AMG GT 4-Door Coupé distinctly visible. As with the two-door AMG GT models, a radiator blind, the so-called AIRPANEL, positioned in front of the central radiator air inlet improves the vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency according to requirements. The striking front splitter reduces lift on the front axle. Characteristic Coupé architectural features include the frameless side windows and the flat windscreen which is drawn widely towards the rear. Even from the side perspective, the ""shark nose"" design looks especially dynamic and feisty. The tapered side line and the broad shoulders hint at the athletic and sporty orientation of the vehicle. Depending on the engine version, the heavily pronounced wheel housings are home to a broad range of 19 and 20-inch light-alloy wheels, not to mention optional 21-inch forged wheels, all of which provide a high degree of personalisation."
The interior is equipped with a number of modern high-tech features: innovative control panels such as the eight high-resolution display buttons in the centre console can be intuitively operated. The AMG Performance steering wheel with the new AMG steering wheel buttons (standard on the AMG GT63 S 4MATIC+), the AMG seats and the fully-digital Widescreen Cockpit (standard on eight-cylinder models, optional for six-cylinder vehicles) with the new "Supersport" display style underscore the vehicle's dynamic character. MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, the EASY-PACK tailgate, Burmester Surround Sound system (standard on the eight-cylinder models) and the 64-colour ambient lighting increase the car's everyday comfort.
