French-Palestinian lawyer Salah Hamouri released by Israel

This week in Israel saw the release of Franco-Palestinian activist Salah Hamouri, a lawyer by training. The 33-year-old had been held in prison without charge for 13 months and ordered to pay a fine worth €710. Following his release, Hamouri recounted the abuses suffered by Palestinians under the Israeli administrative detention, where prisoners can be held without trial for renewable six-month periods.
