Furious Over Doxxing Of Tucker Carlson, Fox News Orders Staff To Stop Tweeting

Description

Fox News has asked its employees not to tweet out theirs or other Fox News stories from their business or personal Twitter accounts. According to Business Insider, Fox News's official Twitter account went silent earlier this week. Sources say it was because of a "conscious decision" by the company to refrain from tweeting. The move comes in the wake of rowdy protests outside the home of Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson. Fox is protesting Twitter's response to complaints that users were posting Carlson's home address online. Twitter's tech support team is believed to have advised the news organization to submit a ticket request. It also did not delete tweets containing Carlson's address.

Since losing the election more than two weeks ago, President Donald Trump has made baseless claims of election fraud and refused to concede defeat. According to Business Insider, Trump seemed entirely unprepared to face even the possibility that he might lose to President-elect Joe Biden. On election night, sources say Trump and top aides were convinced that as in 2016, Trump would upset the odds and clinch victory. But when Fox News projected that Biden had flipped the key swing state of Arizona, a source says the president was 'yelling at everyone.'
