He is rejecting the results, litigating in court, and is claiming there was massive voter fraud. Even so, Fox News cut off Trump spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany in a press conference on Monday, as she pushed Trump's entirely unsubstantiated claims. President Donald Trump is expected to lift coronavirus-related travel restrictions. It is believed he will do so starting on January 26th. This is nearly a week after he leaves office, a White House official said Monday. Officials said Trump is expected to lift restrictions that cover much of Europe and Brazil. President-elect Joe Biden is set to take over the presidency on Wednesday. It's not clear if Biden would reverse Trump's expected order, reports CNN.
The Republican committee of Arizona's Maricopa County is considering censuring the widow of the late GOP Sen. John McCain. Cindy McCain was a prominent Republican supporter of President-elect Joe Biden's 2020 campaign against President Donald Trump. Business Insider reports the committee floated a proposal on Saturday that would have censured her, but the measure did not move forward. The state party confirmed via Twitter that they would vote on a resolution to censure McCain on Jan. 23rd. The Maricopa GOP has already censured former Republican Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, who endorsed President-elect Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
Grave concern is growing among senior White House advisers about the people President Donald Trump has been listening to lately. CNN reports Trump has turned to a fringe group of advisers peddling increasingly dubious tactics to overturn the results of the election. That's generated new levels of uncertainty at how Trump will resist the coming end of his tenure. The coterie includes conspiracist lawyer Sidney Powell, disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and onetime chief strategist Steve Bannon. Other voices in Trump's ear are those from hawkish trade adviser Peter Navarro and the eccentric founder of the retail website Overstock. Sources close to the President say his advisers are particularly worried about what Powell may convince him to do in the coming days. Through it all, Trump has mostly abandoned the day-to-day running of government.

Christie told Martha Radditz on ABC's 'This Week' that the team's approach to overturning the election results was 'an absurdity.' It's a lack of evidence and a lack of any type of legal theory that makes any sense."
A major Florida newspaper has issued an apology for previously endorsing incumbent Rep. Michael Waltz of the state's 6th district. Waltz was reelected to maintain his seat in the 2020 general election. He was among House Republicans who signed an amicus brief in support of Texas' lawsuit seeking to overturn the outcome of the general election's results. The US Supreme Court rejected the lawsuit on Friday. The Orlando Sentinel issued an apology on Friday, saying its editors were unaware that the democratically elected official was 'not committed to democracy.'
