Ten People Hospitalized, Hundreds Of Others Sick Following Flight From Dubai

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, ten people aboard an Emirates flight from Dubai were taken to hospitals in New York with a mystery ailment after many passengers and crew complained of feeling ill during the 14-hour flight. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in a statement that the symptoms included fever and coughing, however the nature of the illness could not be immediately confirmed. Reuters reports that the CDC claimed as many as 100 passengers and crew members reported feeling sick during the flight from Dubai.

Gizmodo reports the Ohio Department of Health is testing for salmonella, shigella, and norovirus. The Delaware County, Ohio location was shut down and inspected by health officials on Monday. It reopened the next day and will be inspected again later this week. Chipotle experienced two outbreaks of E. coli in 2015.
