No Laughing Matter: Geert Wilders Pulls Plug On Anti-Islam Cartoon Competition

Geert Wilders has no plans to revive a cartoon competition for depictions of the Prophet Mohammed. The Dutch lawmaker made the announcement after it emerged as a motive for a stabbing in Amsterdam. Pakistan’s new foreign minister said cartoon depictions of the Prophet could incite hate and intolerance. For now I will not be doing it soon again, for sure. It was not only about me — it was about innocent people.
