Trump Administration Shows Support For Venezuelan Uprising

According to a report by Business Insider, Venezuelans opposing Nicolas Maduro have taken to the streets to protest their country's president as tensions rapidly rise between the South American country and the United States. Business Insider reports that what began as small-scale protests on Monday have now escalated, leaving at least one protester dead. On Tuesday, US Vice President Mike Pence commended the opposition leader, Juan Guaido, the leader of the protests and the president of Venezuela's National Assembly. In a message to Venezuela, Pence reportedly said that the US backs the Venezuelan opposition's move to oust Maduro.
