Tornado In Cuba Kills 3, Injures 172

On Sunday night a tornado hit the Cuban capital, Havana, leaving three people dead and 172 injured. Cuban president Miguel Diaz-Canel wrote on Twitter that the damage was "severe." Strong winds damaged buildings and caused flooding in low-lying areas of Havana, says CNN. Locals said the tornado sounded like "a jet engine," and they felt changes in environmental pressure when it hit. Cuba, which sits in the Caribbean Sea, is also vulnerable to hurricanes from June 1 to November 30.
