Panasonic Jaguar racing are pushing for podiums and points finishes in every remaining race this season. Paris was crazy with the first real wet race in the series and lots of things were out of our control. We set the fastest lap in FP2, and second fastest in the race – ahead of the eventual race winner. We learnt a lot in Paris including our first experience of Group 1 qualifying - we will apply this knowledge and together with the proven pace of the Jaguar I-TYPE 3 look to covert the weekend in Monaco into points and a strong finish.
"Mitch Evans today secured Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s debut pole position during the inaugural Zurich ePrix. After setting the fastest time in qualifying the young Kiwi driver kept his cool during the Superpole shoot-out to secure the Julius Baer Pole Position trophy and three valuable points. His teammate Nelson Piquet Jr started in P11 on the grid. Following a strong start to the race Mitch pulled clear of the field before being caught and passed by eventual winner Lucas Di Grassi. A Full Course Yellow ultimately scuppered Mitch’s chances of a podium as he was among a number of drivers who were penalised with a drive through penalty. He finished the historic Swiss race in seventh. Jaguar retain fifth position in the Team Standings."
Panasonic Jaguar Racing raced to another fourth place finish in the ABB FIA Formula E Punta del Este E-Prix showing the team’s continuous improvement since entering the electric street racing series. A rollercoaster qualifying session saw Mitch Evans go through to his second super pole shoot out of the season with the third fastest time. Team mate Nelson Piquet Jr suffered damage to his car after hitting one of the circuit’s unforgiving walls. In super pole, Mitch put his Jaguar I-TYPE 2 third quickest before a technical infringement pushed him back to 16th on the starting grid. Both Nelson and Mitch made encouraging starts to the race, moving forward together, before a safety car on lap five paused progress. Unfortunately, Nelson suffered a technical issue shortly after and had to retire before the end of the race.
To mark the eagerly anticipated release of No Time To Die, Jaguar’s latest XF Saloon found itself involved in a thrilling chase across London, as Jaguar Racing’s Formula E driver Mitch Evans aimed to be amongst the very first to see the film. The action is set against some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks including the Shard, Tower Bridge, City Hall and Millennium Bridge. Mitch, who is at the wheel of the Santorini Black XF R-Dynamic HSE, is unaware he is being pursued by free runner and Parkour athlete Lynn Jung. The reason for their chase? He has unwittingly dropped his tickets to the screening and Lynn is determined to ensure his wait to see No Time To Die is over. The six-mile chase starts in Laffone Street, close to Tower Bridge, and weaves its way across the city with Lynn running, jumping and somersaulting in pursuit of Mitch, who is enjoying the XF’s luxury, comfort and serenity thanks to its Active Noise Cancellation and Cabin Air Ionisation technology. Distanced from the noise and chaos of the city around him, Mitch focuses on the drive, making the most of the XF’s precise, intuitive steering – and the responsive, refined performance of its 300PS Ingenium engine. The action concludes in London’s famous Baker Street, where the tickets are returned in spectacular style, allowing Mitch to finally enjoy No Time to Die.
Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver Nelson Piquet Jr endured a dramatic crash at the Mexico City E-Prix but stepped out his Jaguar I-TYPE 3 unharmed, while Mitch Evans brought his racecar over the line in seventh for a six-point finish.
