One new Russian tech company aims to provide a unique new service helps expecting mothers visualize their developing baby. After getting their tummies scanned with an ultrasound, mothers-to-be can now get that ultrasound data converted into a 3D picture of their as-yet-unborn child, which can then be printed into a full-scale 3D model. A company called Embryo 3D offers the unique service to expecting mothers at their offices in the Russian city of Ufa.
Chinese tech company Ehang presented their FlyTaxi concept at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Tuesday which transforms a quadcopter into a giant drone taxi that shuttles single human passengers over dense urban environments. The system will be automated, so passengers will just input the destination and enjoy the ride, although it will be possible to drive it manually.
South Korea has announced plans to employ a fleet of 85 robot 'volunteers' during the Winter Olympics, including a vacuum bot, robots which provide info on the Games, drinks serving robots, and robot fish swimming in water tanks. Through these robots, South Korea is showcasing its technical prowess and leadership in robotics technology, having sponsored as many as eight companies with almost 1.5 million dollars to develop AI bots specifically for the Pyeongchang games.
This new computer chip comes packed with powerful artificial intelligence which allows security cameras to turn and follow people on the streets. Chinese startup company Horizon Robotics unveiled their 'Journey 1.0' and 'Sunrise 1.0' chips in Beijing on Wednesday. The new computer chips have built-in AI which enhances smart mobility and makes decisions for smart CCTV cameras.
