Trump To Work With Rand Paul On New Iran Deal

Politico reports that President Donald Trump is trying to reach a new deal with Iran. He has chosen Rand Paul to help broker a back channel deal. Paul suggested being the conduit between the US and Iran over a round of golf this past weekend. Trump gave Paul his blessing for the sensitive diplomatic mission. Paul proposed sitting down with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to extend a fresh olive branch on the president’s behalf. The aim is to reduce tensions between the two countries. Trump signed off on the idea. Zarif in New York City this week for U.N. meetings and private sitdowns with journalists and think-tank experts.
